Did you know? You can learn how to do a variety of activities after a spinal cord injury –  including rock climbing – in spite of your injury?

That’s right! Thanks to our partners at Catalyst Sports, people in Louisville like our Pushing Forward clients have the opportunity to enjoy life-changing, community-based adaptive adventure sports that might have otherwise been difficult to approach. These opportunities are hosted in monthly adaptive climbing clinics for everyone young and old, with a variety of physical disabilities.

This past November, we attended the Catalyst climbing clinic to expose our clients and our community to the possibilities provided by adaptive climbing. We were able to demonstrate that experiences just like these can be a fun, exciting way for those living with a SCI to still be able to enjoy physical activities.

Thank you to Catalyst Sports for the opportunity, and contact Kiara James at kiara@pushingforwardinc.org if you’d like to learn more about adaptive activities in and around the Louisville area!
